Extended Protection Plan for Schwank Electric Heaters – Terms & Conditions

At Signature Radiant, we understand that your heating investment is made to last. That's why we offer our Extended Protection Plan on select Schwank electric heaters, giving you peace of mind beyond the standard manufacturer coverage.

This plan is offered in addition to Schwank's standard 2-year limited warranty, and extends your protection against manufacturing defects related to electrical or mechanical failure during normal use.

What's covered

• Mechanical or electrical failure occurring under normal residential or commercial use
• Replacement parts for defective components (supplied at Schwank's or Signature Radiant's discretion)
• Replacement of full unit (at Signature Radiant's discretion) if parts are not available or repair is not feasible

What's not covered

This plan follows the same exclusions as Schwank's standard limited warranty. The following are not covered under any circumstances:

• Cosmetic damage (fading, discoloration, scratches, abrasion, or normal wear)
• Damage caused by improper installation, including installation by a non-certified electrical contractor
• Damage resulting from misuse, alteration, neglect, or operation contrary to the owner's manual
• Damage from corrosive or contaminating atmospheres, water, excessive thermal shock, or impact
• Damage caused by electrical input varying more than ±10% from the rated input on the rating plate
• Damage caused by accessories not recommended by Signature Radiant or Schwank
• Service, labor, diagnosis, transportation, or freight charges
• Damage due to circumstances beyond the manufacturer's control, including fire, flood, acts of God, war, or government restrictions
• Products with altered, defaced, or removed serial numbers
• Closeout or discontinued products

Who can use this plan

This plan applies only to the original purchaser of the product and to the original installation location. It is not transferable.

To activate and maintain the validity of the Extended Protection Plan, customers must provide proof of installation by a certified electrical contractor. This ensures the product has been installed safely and in accordance with local electrical codes and applicable installation standards — a condition also required under Schwank's standard warranty.

Failure to provide this proof may void coverage under this plan.

Coverage duration & pricing

• 3-Year Extended Protection: $110 CAD
• 4-Year Extended Protection: $140 CAD

Coverage begins immediately upon purchase and runs concurrently with the Schwank manufacturer's warranty. Once the manufacturer's 2-year warranty expires, our plan continues to cover the remaining term.

Example: If you purchase a 3-year plan, Schwank's 2-year warranty covers years one and two. Our Extended Protection Plan covers year three. With a 4-year plan, we cover years three and four.

What happens if my product is discontinued?

If your heater has been discontinued and is still under coverage, we'll work with you to provide a comparable replacement product or an equivalent store credit.

How to make a claim

To submit a claim, contact our customer service team with the following:

• Your original order number
• Proof of installation by a certified electrical contractor
• A brief description of the issue along with supporting photos

We'll assess your case and process your claim as quickly as possible.

This plan is optional and does not replace or reduce any statutory warranties provided under provincial law, including the legal warranty of quality in Québec.
